Sathya Maniam | Clinical Psychologist

Sathya works with older teens (16+) and adults who are ready to make meaningful shifts in their lives. Known for her collaborative approach, she creates a space where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to set goals that genuinely reflect their therapeutic needs.

With a strong focus on trauma recovery — especially childhood and relationship trauma — Sathya helps you recognise patterns that no longer serve you, reconnect with a sense of internal safety, and build skills that support lasting change. Her approach is deeply rooted in evidence-based methods, including EMDR, Schema Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure, to help reduce distress and reprocess painful experiences.

Sathya also supports those navigating anxiety, low mood, burnout, and attachment challenges. She is inclusive and affirming of neurodiversity, LGBTQIA+ and culturally diverse clients, and honours the unique context each person brings to therapy.

A message from Sathya:

“Taking care of your psychological health is an important part of your overall health and quality of life. As your psychologist, I’m excited to offer you a safe and collaborative space to not only work on resolving the past, addressing the present stressors, but also putting in the foundation for the future you’d like to build.”

Sathya is an Independent Practitioner consulting at Coolangatta Psychology.
